So definetly have soniham do sonic and shadow first, because I know he's pretty good with them. I'll admit that a few of the tails/eggman levels can be boring, but they certainly are alot more interesting then rouge/knuckles (unless SadisticMystic was making a speedrun.he knows everything about rouge and knuckles stages). >_> So to correct myself, add "Tails/Eggman" on there as well. Oh, sorry, y'know I havn't played SA2:Battle in over a year.so all I remember is the negativity I had for Knuckles/Rogue, and Chaos. Sonic and shadow are about speed, and that makes ! and cool, but who said eggman's and tail's levels were bad for speedruns? Some of them are really quite interesting to watch! My jaw dropped when I finally saw the strategy for Mission Street! It's really insane what some of these people do! Personally, I think crazy gadget is one of the hardest levels to time attack Sorry for making it so confusing.I can't really explain it better. Note (for steps 4-5, you can save time by brushing against the switch as you fall, or by landing ontop of the gravity switch instead of the side of the fence, and jumping from the gravity switch to the white switch, although you probably already knew that.) Now just run through and you've beaten the level! From either the side of the gravity switch or side of the fence, do one last "power jump" onto the platform with the goal ring. If you get it right, the green toxic wall surrounding the goal ring will disappear!Ħ. To do so, you need to jump ontop of the gravity switch (you'll actually be standing ontop of it's thin side) and from there, jump against the white switch engraved in the wall. You can't really step on it though since you're feet aren't exactly on the wall.but you can still "brush" against it. A gravity switch, and a special white switch with a star that you're supposed to step on. Now there are two types of switches on the wall of the purple block. Normally you'd just fall down into the depths of space, but not today! There's a small fence type thing that can act as a small platform for sonic to land on.ĥ. To solve this, simply fall down, hugging the wall on the right side of the block. This means that normally, you'd need the gravity setting to be pulling the player towards the left side of the course (and it would of been had you taken the long and expected way) but we aren't doing that.now are we? so what to do? You're on the top side of the block, yet the switch is on a wall on the right side of the block. To switch is located on the right side of the purple block. You need to hit a switch to complete the level. You should be standing on top of the purple block with gravity pushing downward (normal)Ĥ. Hit it and gravity will return to norm, ual. There should be a switch at the end of this section on the red block.

There should be a portion of the red block that hovers over the top of the purple block. You can jump from the underside of the purple block to the underside of the red block. I believe there is a red block some distance above and from the purple block. Follow this purple block to the end to the next switch, but DO NOT hit the switch.Ģ. Hit the switch, and you should be upside down standing on the underside of a purple block. It's been a while so lets see if I remember this right.ġ. "Power Jumps" can help too when cutting across rooms that have a gap you are supposed to fall into.Īs for the last part with the floating blocks, you can take a HUGE shortcut. There are a few rooms other rooms where you can do a similar technique. This saves time, as you would of had to make your way up with the pulley system had you hit the switch in the previous room to make you right side up Do a "Power jump" as one user put it and you can jump high enough (or since you're upside down, break the force of gravity enough) to make it under the cieling of the door leading into the next room. Rather then hitting the second switch to go right side up, use the curve that the cieling makes as a ramp for sonic to spindash on. Hit the first switch to go upside down and spindash across the room. The first room is a perfect example of this. Any cieling that curves into the ground can be used to sonic's advantage. The basic gist of it is to avoid hitting the switches when you are upside down. I'm not going to give you a specific walkthrough of what to do in everyroom but the main idea of it.
